Yuri Osipov, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences:

I would like to congratulate all my colleagues - I believe that we have signed an agreement of major importance, which outlines our long-term, as I hope, cooperation in the field of energy, and hydrogen energy in particular. This is really a very pleasant moment, as we see the convergence of the interests of the Russian large business and those of the Russian science. We are looking forward to filling this agreement with more specific content, as was discussed already, and we are ready to progress. Let it serve to the benefit of Russia. Mikhail Prokhorov, General Director – Chairman of the Management Board of MMC Norilsk Nickel:

This agreement has a strategic importance to Norilsk Nickel because, in my opinion, it represents a basis for transforming our country from a major source of raw materials into a powerful empire of advanced technology.Russia has two competitive advantages: our fundamental science which is still ahead of the whole rest of the planet, and MMC Norilsk Nickel which dominates the palladium market. These two components will enable us to achieve a breakthrough in the field of high technology. Such technologies, that we are going to develop on the basis of our agreement, in the nearest 10 years will become a foundation of entire global economy. M.
